Position Summary

Square Contracting is seeking an experienced Bathroom Tile & Waterproofing Specialist to join our growing team. This position is responsible for professionally waterproofing showers and installing high-quality tile in residential bathroom remodeling projects. The ideal candidate takes pride in precision, craftsmanship, and delivering installations built to last. This role works closely with the Lead Bathroom Remodel Carpenter to ensure each project meets our quality standards and exceeds client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Install complete waterproof shower systems using industry-approved methods

• Construct and waterproof shower niches, benches, curbs, and shower pans

• Install foam board, cement board, uncoupling membranes, and waterproofing membranes

• Install porcelain, ceramic, natural stone, and large-format tile

• Perform precise tile layouts to achieve balanced, professional installations

• Install tile on shower walls, shower floors, bathroom floors, and accent features

• Grout, silicone, and complete all finish details

• Inspect work to ensure compliance with manufacturer installation standards and company quality expectations

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Coordinate daily with the Lead Bathroom Remodel Carpenter and Project Manager to maintain project schedules

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional tile installation experience

• Experience installing residential bathroom waterproofing systems

• Proficiency with waterproofing products such as Schluter®, Wedi®, GoBoard®, Laticrete®, or equivalent systems

• Strong knowledge of shower pan construction, waterproofing, and tile installation best practices

• Ability to read plans, perform accurate tile layouts, and maintain tight tolerances

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship

• Valid driver's license

• Reliable transportation to and from job sites

• Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Schluter® Systems Certified Installer or equivalent certification

• Experience installing heated floor systems

• Experience with luxury bathroom remodeling projects

• Knowledge of ANSI standards and Tile Council of North America (TCNA) installation methods

Company Equipment

Square Contracting provides professional tile saws, laser levels, specialty tile installation equipment, and waterproofing tools required to complete projects. Employees are expected to provide their own basic hand tools and reliable transportation to and from each job site.

Compensation: $38.00 per hour

Square Contracting is seeking an experienced Lead Bathroom Remodel Carpenter to lead the day-to-day execution of bathroom remodeling projects. This individual will be responsible for producing high-quality workmanship while mentoring apprentices and maintaining an organized, professional job site.

Responsibilities

• Perform demolition, framing, carpentry, and finish work

• Install vanities, trim, doors, and accessories

• Assist with shower preparation and waterproofing systems

• Train and mentor apprentices

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

• Communicate project progress with the Project Manager

• Ensure projects meet company quality standards

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of residential remodeling experience

• Bathroom remodeling experience strongly preferred

• Strong framing and finish carpentry skills

• Ability to read plans and work independently

• Valid driver's license

• Must pass a background check

Company Equipment

A fully stocked company trailer will be assigned to the Lead Carpenter for the duration of each project. The trailer will remain on-site throughout construction. Employees are responsible for providing their own reliable transportation to and from each job site.

• Measure and evaluate existing bathrooms

• Discuss budgets, layouts, and material selections

• Prepare and present remodeling proposals

• Follow up on estimates and leads

• Maintain excellent customer communication

• Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure a smooth project transition

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales experience (construction or home improvement preferred)
